Journal - What makes a good introduction paragraph to an essay or paper? Hint - review the 6 Trait Writing rubric for help.
What makes a good introduction would be a good thesis and a general summary for the basic idea you want to give out to your readers. This makes the reader know what the essay/paper is about and get a good grasp on the issue or topic. You want to do this so the reader would be interested in learning about what you're trying to convey. When writing an introduction paragraph, what you'd also want to keep in mind is using at least four sentences. The three body paragraphs, though, should be at least five sentences.
